Benjamin’s Best High Speed Steel 3/4″ x 3/16″ Parting Tool – 16-1/2″Long. The parting tool is specifically designed for cutting, off or “parting” a spindle workpiece. Also used to cut tenons, establish a diameter or cut small flat areas. The benefit of the diamond cross-section is that the friction is significantly reduced, making for both easier control and reduced heat build-up. This is important when parting Hardwoods which can crack if overheated.
