Benjamin’s Best High Speed Steel 2″ Roughing Gouge, 19″ long. The roughing gouge is primarily used for aggressively reducing square spindle blanks to round cylinders. The result is a rough cut blank ready for detailing with the spindle gouge a skew chisel. Don’t try to use a roughing gouge for bowl turning.
